Honoring the Schimberg Story

The Fund was created in honor of Henry A. Schimberg, whose life represented perseverance, integrity and continuous service.

Following his retirement as CEO of Coca Cola Enterprises, Henry and his wife Marjorie Layden established an endowment at the University of California, Santa Barbara with the goal of cultivating next generation leaders with a strong sense of personal and business ethics.

Marjorie and Henry believed in advancing high ethical standards within the business and corporate sector. Their goal focused on empowering principles of integrity and social responsibility in business and enterprise as a means to propel global change.

These values shaped the mission and vision of the Schimberg Fund, which strives to integrate ethical culture and practice into national and global leadership.

At our core, the Schimberg Fund is committed to inspiring people to lead from heart, and that is what we continue to invest in.
